A century-old railway in northern Syria has been disassembled and looted by Turkish-backed militiamen in control of the area.
The ancient railway – which dates back to 1913 – crosses the Afrin region and runs between Qatamah and Midan Akbes.
Photos spread online show trucks laden with the dismantled railway in order to be sold later.
Having captured the Afrin region last March, the Turkish-backed militants looted the city. Properties, cars, trucks and stored have been raided.
