Hezbollah leader says it was US’ mistake to unleash aggression against Yemen, security of all shipping harmed

US President Joe Biden made a mistake when he ordered to attack Yemen hoping that this move will stop Houthi operations in the Red Sea, Sheikh Hassan Nasrullah, leader of the Lebanese Shiite party Hezbollah, said.

"President Biden and his team will soon understand that they made a mistake having unleashed aggression against Yemen," he said in a televised address to the participants in a rally in Beirut, which was aired by the Al Manar television channel.

"The Americans’ actions demonstrate that they don’t know the people of this Arab state and its will for resistance," he stressed.

The Iran-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah said on Sunday US actions in the Red Sea would harm the security of all shipping as the area had now become a conflict zone, saying the Houthis of Yemen would keep up attacks despite US and British strikes.

According to the Hezbollah leader, missile strikes on Ansar Allah (the Houthi) military targets will change nothing. "The Yemeni will not step back and will continue attacks on ships bound for Israel until Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip is ended," he warned, adding that the "Yemeni front has become a decisive factor in the battle." "Each Arab, Muslim, free and noble man must declare his support for Yemen, its people, army, and the Ansar Allah movement now," he said.
