Iran has announced the successful launch of a new satellite amid heightened regional tensions over the war in Gaza.
The Sorayya satellite successfully reached an orbit of 750 km (466 mile), the highest of any Iranian satellite yet, state media said on Saturday.
The move is likely to stoke Israeli and Western concerns about Iran’s ballistic missile and nuclear ambitions.
