Pistorius said that no one in the EU supported Macron with sending troops to Ukraine

The German armed forces will not take part in the military conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius in response to French President Emmanuel Macron's proposal to send NATO troops in support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“Boots on the ground are not an option for the Federal Republic of Germany. This cannot be an option and will not be an option,” RIA Novosti quotes Pistorius as saying.

He emphasized that, according to his information, Macron’s idea did not find support among EU leaders, and added that “this will contribute to escalation.”
