NATO's policies contradict the values of the alliance, Orban says

NATO's policies are contrary to the core values of the alliance. This opinion was expressed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

According to him, the future of the bloc, first of all, depends on how peace is maintained.

“However, today, instead of peace, the desire for war is on the agenda, and instead of defense, attack. “This all contradicts the fundamental values of NATO,” Newsweek magazine quotes him as saying.

Orban also clarified that when it comes to the future of the bloc, Budapest does not completely agree with the majority of member countries, who are confident in the inevitability of conflicts with other geopolitical forces.

“The more NATO leaders believe in the inevitability of conflict, the greater the role they will play in its outbreak,” the prime minister expressed his opinion.
