The Pakistani border force said Sunday it killed 50 people, wounded 100 others and destroyed five Afghan checkpoints along the border in response to an attack staged late last week from the Afghan side of the frontier that killed 10 Pakistani census workers.
"Pakistani forces, on the other hand, targeted Afghan security check-posts, killing 50 people and injuring 100," Frontier Corps Inspector General Maj. Gen. Nadeem Ahmed said in a press conference at the Chaman border.
