France deploys 3,000 police officers to secure trains during Christmas

About 3,000 police officers have been deployed to patrol trains in France, especially the high-speed and regional trains in Paris, during the Christmas holidays due to the high threat of a renewed terrorist attack on the country.


Stephane Volant, secretary-general of the French railway company SNCF, told Franceinfo radio that such security reinforcements have been in operation for weeks.
